The Islamic Development Bank Group launched the annual competition for the ‘2025 Islamic
Economy Award for Effective Achievement’ to reward outstanding achievements of
individuals and institutions of Islamic knowledge production and innovative development
solutions. This award is for only one category each year, alternating between the ‘Knowledge
Contribution’ and ‘Developmental Achievement’ categories.

Biskra University announces to newly enrolled students that 22 and 23 September 2024 have
been set for the delivery of students cards at the departments’ registrar.
Professor Mehdad Belkacem from Biskra University has been in a recent list of the best world
scientists for 2024. The ranking results published by US Stanford University, by Elsevier,
specialised in publishing information and analyses on scientific and technical content. The list
includes the top 2 per cent world scientists, focusing on impact through citations rather than
productivity. Congratulations to Professor Mehdad Belkacem and to Biskra University for this
achievement
