On Sunday, April 21, 2024, the Electrical Engineering Department organized at Chetma University Pole the events of the eighth International Forum for Applications of Image and Signal Processing with the university family, headed by the University Rector, Mr. Mahmoud Debabeche, deputy directors, deans of faculties, heads of departments, teachers and students.

According to its president, Mr. Abdelkrim Elwafi, this edition is witnessing the participation of a host of researchers from various international universities. He described it a space for debate and latest research outcome exchange, presenting new developments in deep and automated computer vision and learning, image processing and signal processing techniques, biomedical engineering, telecommunications, speech processing, robotics, applications and fifth and sixth generation networks. He also referred to an estimated 277 interventions, chose 157, five from abroad, besides workshops and posters and remote participations. After this, the department head, Mr. Ramzi Saadi, highlighted the foremost axes of this event and its objectives.

The Faculty Dean, Pr. Hatem Ghodbane, praised the efforts of the conference organizers and that the success of this edition reflects the work spirit of the faculty and the university families, calling for a meeting on the sidelines of this event. The University Rector gave the official opening and stressed the ceaseless support for such events for the required university visibility, as he urged doctoral students to seize this opportunity to gain experience and knowledge.
